Tonight we pack and tomorrow we’re gone. The taxi wakes us up at 5 in the morning and the plane at Iraklio airport leaves at 7 (if all goes well). We land in Athens at 10 to 8 and have an hour to kill before the next flight takes us out to Düsseldorf. Lucien is the winner of the big sweepstake lottery and it is he and nobody else who will have the pleasure of enjoying our ever-so-affable company on the otherwise oh-so-dull-and-dreary trip from Düsseldorf southwards to Maasmechelen/Neerharen.
