So we had this relatively major quake with its epicenter in Leonidio measuring 6.2 last Sunday. To be precise at 37.16N and 22.64E, at a depth of 72km. A whole controversy broke out in the days thereafter about the role and functioning of the Greek seismographic services. What is strange to me is that since then, nobody mentioned the following earthquake registrations (times are in UTC):

    2008-01-06 05:14:18.4 37.16N 22.64E depth 72km Mw 6.2 Initial quake
    2008-01-08 23:23:06.3 37.15N 22.74E depth 74km ML 3.3
    2008-01-11 12:56:22.4 37.18N 22.63E depth 97km ML 4.6
    2008-01-11 17:59:19.8 37.14N 22.73E depth 91km ML 3.3

They are all in the same area, admittedly with a much lower magnitude, but isn’t that alarming, this seismic activity in the same spot over a short period of time?
