I’ve been waiting for nine months exactly and nobody shows up!
Just kidding, really.
I seem to have taken a rather long break, haven’t I? But rest assured, everything is well with us. It must have been writer’s block. Or something. The thing is, it gets boring — not only for me, also for you — when all I have to report is that the weather is extremely nice, and that we had yet another nice weekend at a reclusive beach in the south.
So today, at least, I can report that the weather has changed. Last night it rained for the first time in months. There. How’s that for earth shattering news? Just kidding again. But it did rain last night for the first time this summer, not a lot, but just enough to wash away the dust and make most Cretans joyfully dance in the streets. Or they might have danced because Greece beat the U.S. in A. at the semi-finals of the World Basketball Championship, or some such event. You’re never sure why Greeks dance.
That’s it basically. At least, apart from the fact that the weather was extremely nice this year and that we spent many peaceful weekends at reclusive alcoves at the south coast of Crete. But you didn’t really want to hear that, did you? Naaah, didn’t think so.
